Welcome to Little Paws and thank you for visiting our site today. Here you will find information about us and the services we offer from our professional grooming to our dog training classes and behaviour consultations.
Little Paws is a Gloucester based business with our home visits covering the city itself and the surrounding areas. Training classes have been held at Maisemore Village Hall since 2012, Quedgeley Community Centre since 2016 and Taynton and Tibberton Village Hall since 2019. Temporary venues are also used for various workshops, seminars and intensive courses.
Our head trainer Estelle has her MSc and BSc (hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and founded Little Paws in 2012 after graduating top of her year. Now also a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor in Companion Dog Training and a member of several professional organisations, Estelle continues to run classes with knowledge, passion and commitment to all clients. Now joined by Jen, Little Paws continues to grow and develop and is known for our friendly, welcoming and successful classes.
At Little Paws we strive to build a positive relationship between you and your dog so you can enjoy each other. Using force free methods, we teach a wide range of obedience exercises and fun games, while developing essential life skills. We draw from years of experience training our own dogs to advanced levels as well as proven scientific knowledge.

Little Paws gained its Kennel Club Listed Club status in 2015 meaning we can offer KC Puppy foundation and KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. Over the years we have helped hover 1000 puppies and dogs through these classes achieve these well established Kennel Club awards. Both our trainers are also KCGCDS examiners, Pets As Therapy assessors and have certificates in both human and canine emergency first aid.
Although Little Paws is a business we are keen to give back to the community in both charitable donations and volunteer work. Pets As Therapy is a charitable organisation founded in 1983 providing therapeutic visits to hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and special needs schools. Estelle and her recently departed smooth Collie Sebastian were proud volunteer visitors for this charity as well as both Estelle and Jen being assessors for the charity, doing voluntary assessments for potential new PAT teams. Estelle hopes to get back to visiting soon with one of her other dogs. In addition, Little Paws has hosted fun dog shows in aid of Pets As Therapy, so far raising over £3,500.
The Little Paws dogs in schools Scheme is a free service whereby Estelle and Jen attend local schools with their dogs to teach the children about how to care for a dog, the do’s and dont’s around dogs as well as how to recognise that a dog isn’t happy. The scheme aims to build awareness in children of how they behave around dogs in an effort to reduce dog bites from both strange dogs and family pets. The scheme is open to all primary schools in Gloucestershire. Please contact us for information.
